Abstract

Application of FMEA at Trucks Production The topic of this thesis is application of FMEA for a part which is main contributor on non-conforming product. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on analysis of quality planning approaches with a focus to FMEA method utilization. There are described in more details types of FMEA methods and used procedures for FMEA method application. Practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of non-conforming products occur at truck manufacturing, part selection with the highest quality costs and subsequent application of FMEA method for that part. As a result it was detection of possible defects and identification of its possible causes. Based on these findings the team proposed appropriate corrective actions. Such information is to be used as a platform for design and development of new truck model series. Besides above mentioned there is also described analysis of current status of method utilization and quality planning tools in the company with a focus to product quality planning.
