Veřejná podpora cestovního ruchu v regionu Moravskoslezsko

Abstract

My bachelor thesis deals with the support of tourism from public funds in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The goal of the thesis was to find out what are the possibilities of entities involved in tourism of getting finance from public sources in Moravia-Silesia.

The text is divided into three parts. The first part is defines the topic of tourism in general, the policy of tourism support in the Czech Republic and its importance for the national economy, as well as tools and forms of tourism support. In this context, the topic of public support is analysed, too. The second part describes concrete possibilities entities operating in the field of tourism have in obtaining support from public funds. The thesis focuses on the Joint Regional Operational Programme and the adjoining Regional Operational Programme Moravia-Silesia. The third part introduces selected projects which have been carried out in the Moravian-Silesian Region with the help of public money from the Joint Regional Operational Programme and the Regional Operational Programme Moravia-Silesia.

The final part of the text concludes that possibilities of obtaining tourism support from public funds are very wide and sought after by a high number of applicants, which reflects in the successful realization of numerous tourism projects. It is apparent that the tourism in the region is on the rise also thanks to the above mentioned public support.
