Vilém Adamec, Ph.D. This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of anti-flood measures in the town of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and a proposal of options for its improvement. The first part of work is devoted to general information and characteristics. There are defined basic terms related to solved problems and attention is also paid to legal norms which deal the area of interest. The next part of the study deals with brief characteristics of the town Rožnov pod Radhoštěm especially geographic, demographic, historical and climatic conditions.In the following chapter an attention is paid to the history of floods in the town during the 18th - 20th centuries. The main emphasis is on the floods in 1997 and 2010, including a comparison of their consequences.The final part of the thesis analyzes and solves the current flood protection measures of the town and contains suggestions how to make it more effective.
