Abstract

This thesis deals with the modeling of the phase-shifting transformer - PST and its influence on the transmission system in the program EMTP-ATP. The aim of the thesis is to create a model of single-phase PST and to explain the way of its control of power flows in the transmission system. Another goal of the thesis is to create a three-phase PST model. This model will be based on documents, that have been provided by ČEPS, a.s. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to demonstrate the influence of PST on the transmission system and to prove the purpose of this device. This section will simulate potential real network conditions, which may occur.
