Abstract

Performance measurement is one of the key issues in corporate governance. The aim of this thesis was to analyze the financial performance of the selected company based on traditional approaches to performance measurement and on the basis of modern approaches. In terms of traditional approaches have been performance evaluated by using financial ratios and overall financial health assessment models. Of the modern methods for analyzing the performance of selected economic value added. Development of value indicators return on equity and economic value added was also analyzed using a pyramid decomposition. At the end of the study was conducted comparing the performance of the selected firm to the performance of the sector in which it carries out its business activities.
