Level of Competitiveness of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation in the World Economy

Abstract

Сompetitiveness is an important market category that reflects one of the most significant properties of the market. The definition of the competitiveness can vary within a wide range, depending on the level of competitive environment: regional, microeconomic, or macroeconomic. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the level of competitiveness of the Czech Republic and Russian Federation, by using methods, which are based on the multi-criteria indicators, which are developed by the organisation World Economic Forum and World Bank. The analysis of the competitiveness level includes the overview of the impact of the covid-19 pandemic, that had a significant impact on the competitiveness of the monitored countries.
