Teorie a praxe zahraniční expanze průmyslových firem.

Abstract

The topic of this dissertation is international expansion of middle-sized industrial family-like companies. The author is examining possibilities of such companies how to succeed in international competition and how to expand to abroad. The outcomes of the theories of organisation and internationalisation are applied to the practice of middle-sized industrial companies. This dissertation should bring answers to the questions of management of such firms how to proceed with international expansion. What exactly does this expansion bring? How to select and analyse the target market? Which strategy to apply? How to implement the right organisational structure to the expanding company? Where are the relevant sources of theoretical and practical know-how? Which are proven strategies and what mistakes are to avoid? The author shows a complete system of supporting the management decisions about international expansion based on evaluation of a set of indices and confronts this system with number of practice-oriented examples. At the end a set of practical recommendations for the management of expanding firms is presented.
