Financování výzkumu a vývoje ve vybraných krajích České republiky

Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on financing research and development in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The purpose of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the research potential and financial indicators in the South Bohemian and Pardubice regions for the period 2013 - 2018. The theoretical part describes the policy of research, development and innovation in the Czech and European context. The analytical part contains the research potential and sources of funding in the South Bohemian and Pardubice regions. The empirical part deals with the evaluation of research and development funding in the regions of the Czech Republic. The work uses the method of analysis of documents and literature, analytical method of time series, comparison of secondary data, synthesis, induction, deduction and correlation analysis. In conclusion, it is found that the Pardubice Region is doing better in the monitored period than the South Bohemian Region in terms of increasing the number of monitored indicators in research and development. In the period 2013 - 2018, the business sector in both regions is largely engaged in research and development than the public sector. By comparing the public sector in selected regions, it was found that South Bohemian Region is more active than Pardubice Region where it is more of the private sector. Using correlation analysis in the statistical program SPSS Statistics, it was found that there is a relationship between the monitored indicators, both in the public and private sector.
