Abstract

The theme of this master´s thesis is the assessment of the influence of inhomogeneities occurring on the surface of continuously cast billets to the formation of defects on rolled products. This thesis describes wheter the various surface inhomogeneities arised in the process of the casting and congealing of the continuously cast billets have an influence on surface quality of finished products such as bars.
