Regeneration of prefab housing estate Výškovice in Ostrava South, Výškovická – Volgogradská area

The subject of this thesis is the current state analysis and recovery proposal of a panel blocks housing estate in the City of Ostrava South - location - Výškovická, Volgogradská streets.

The aim is to design the building and organizational adjustments in the proposed area to improve the quality of housing. Above all it menas to propose modifications of existing roads and solution of the traffic, design of car parking areas, design of landscaping and revitalization of urban furniture, to design space for leisure activities of different age groups, to propose treatment of green areas, including registration of trees and solution concepts of underground utilities.

The proposal respects the limits set by the master plan of the City of Ostrava approved in 2014 and also includes an economic evaluation of the proposed solution.
