Abstract

Since January 1, 2009 Act No 187/2006 Cod., on health insurance, has come into force. The main goal of this thesis is a focus on comparing of the present system of health insurance in the Czech Republic with previous enactment. A part of the thesis is the evaluation of healh insurance in connection with changes in the area of conditions of its emergence, continuation and expiry; and with changes in the area of claim for and payment of particular health insurance benefits. The end of the thesis is focused on comparison of calculation of particular health insurance benefits according to previous and existing enactments. The motto of the changes in the area of health insurance: „Everyone, who is not able to work on the ground of illness, pregnancy and parenthood, shall be reasonably and more rightly secured . Everyone, who misuses the benefits, shall feel the results. It pays off to care for your health.“
