Abstract

The Bachelor thesis deals with the problems of power supply of biometric and biotelemetric sensors from alternative energy sources. In this case we used a photovoltaic cell, which was chosen as the most suitable source of alternative energy to supply the target device. Energy Harvesting technique had to be adapted to all the system. This technique deals with an effective use with a low quantity of gained energy. Two prototypes of the device measuring the peripheral quantity were created to discover what quantity of energy can be gained by using this method. The quantities are measured by A/D convertor INA230. The measurement is fully automated. A functional prototype was created for sending the measured values from the photovoltaic cell to the computer by using I2C interface. The computer processes the data and stores them to the distant MySQL database. The outcome is shown synoptically in the visualisation.
