Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the system of post-traumatic care in the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. This post-traumatic care system is set up primarily as a prevention system, where its task is to provide care to members who have experienced a traumatic event. In addition to this care, the psychological service of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic provides other services and carries out a number of other activities. This thesis is based on the assumption of psychological burden of the members of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and deals with the system of post-traumatic care as such, as well as the original and new techniques used for this purpose.
The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of the basic concepts and terminology related to stress, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, the integrated rescue system, the burdens associated with the activities of members of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and the activities of the psychological service of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic.
The practical part of the thesis deals with research, conducted by questionnaire survey, which aims to find out the awareness of psychological service and post-traumatic care among members of the FRS CR. As a sample of the research, members of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic of Moravian-Silesian region were selected in particular, where those who had the opportunity to encounter post-traumatic care after a difficult intervention were targeted. The findings are clearly presented in graphs and tables. The paper concludes with a summary of the findings.
