Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the performance and possibilities of further development of a small enterprise. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the definition of traditional, modern and complex approaches to the evaluation of business performance and the reasons why it is appropriate to evaluate the performance of the enterprise. The practical part of the thesis is divided into application and design parts. The main topic of the first chapter in the practical part is to introduce the selected enterprise and evaluate its initial situation through Porter's model of the competitive environment. Performance is also evaluated using traditional financial ratios and the modern economic value added (EVA) ratio. The introduction of the design part assesses the current situation of the enterprise, defines the corporate vision and proposes key indicators for the purpose of evaluating the corporate performance of the small enterprise. Finally, selected recommendations for its future direction, development and performance improvement are formulated.
