Abstract
This theses deals with the problems of the reduction of chromium from the chromium slag for increasing of chromium yied to produce stainless steel. The theses provides information on the relevent influence on reducing chromium from the slag and helps us find the optimal solution including the settings of the conditions while melting in an electic arc furnace. The work consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. In the experimental part, there were 7 meltings. Thermodynamic and kinetic conditions were compared in a variety of reduction additives, the effect of used ammount of reduction additives, the effect of frothed slag and the effect of the chemical composition of the slag.
