Kartelové dohody narušující hospodářskou soutěž a jejich postihování

Abstract

This thesis deals with the cartels in Czech law, including the possibility of prosecuting these illegal agreements. Begining of this thesis focuses on clarifying the basic terms relating to cartels. More specifically, the work focused on different types of agreements. The following - leniency program - is discussed in detail. This program is in Czech law a relatively new term, although the application of this program by the Office for the Protection of Competition has been using since 2001. The last part is focused on penalties on cartels, both from the Office for the Protection of Competition in the administrative proceedings and the possibility of prosecution under the Criminal Code. A substantial part of the work is devoted to the economic consequences of illegal competition (a cartel).
