Abstract

This thesis deals with intermetallic compound but mostly Ni3Al variable aluminium content. The key issue is solved verify the influence of composition and crystallization conditions Ni3Al compounds, prepared by conventional preparation method such as melting, casting and directional crystallization Bridgman method with vertical arrangement of the exact chemical composition along the length of prepared samples. Very necessary in the preparation of experimental samples for testing physical and metallurgical characteristics observed approximately the same chemical composition through out its length. This was verified in this work using optical mission spectrometry. In detail was studied the structure of non-alloyed Ni3Al-based alloys in cast and streamlined state.
