Abstract

This Thesis concerned with possibilities of recycling of blast furnace sludge from waste dump and fine grained converter sludge generated during process of steel manufacture. Principal technological processes are dehydration of mixture, homogenization and modification of lumpiness. Main problem consist in refinement of wastes containing undesirable elements, primarily zinc and lead. In the experimental part of the Thesis are evaluated results from experimental treatment of briquetted fine grained converter sludge and blast furnace sludge from waste dump. Proposal of solution for back usage of metals contained in above mentioned materials is mentioned at the close of the Thesis.
