Abstract

The theme of the thesis is the evaluation of economic performance and competitiveness of company XYZ Ltd.

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the current state of this particular company with a focus on the financial health and viability in relation to the external environment. A partial objective includes summarizing and proposing appropriate recommendations, which in turn could lead to potential increase competitiveness in the markets.

The first part contains theoretical knowledge in regards to economic performance, competition and competitiveness. The second part is focused on evaluating economic performances and competitiveness within company XYZ Ltd. for use in financial analysis, credit and bankruptcy models, PESTLE analysis, Porter's five forces analysis and evaluation of viability. Implementation of the proposals, based on the analysis, will address possible measures to increase economic performance and competitiveness.
