Slovácké slavnosti vína v Uherském Hradišti

Abstract

Barbara Jurackova, Slovacko region - Festival of wine in Uherske Hradiste, Uherske Hradiste 2010. The bachelor work focuses on Slovácko region - Festival of wine and open sights in Uherske Hradiste. The aim of my work is to identify the drawbacks of this festival, to find out what is still missing there and to propose solutions. The theoretical part of the work is interested in applied methodology, there are also some basic concepts defined. You get to know about the town of Uherske Hradiste, its history and sights. I have chosen a few cultural events wellknown in Slovacko region and its surroundings. Next I entirely concentrate on the Festival. The information about the date, place and the programme are in the centre of my interest as well as the microregions, their representatives and their way of promotion. The Festival of wine in Uherske Hradiste is presented in fairs and exhibitions around the Czech Republic and also abroad. At first I used questionnaires, which helped me to obtain information about what the festival participants like and do not like about the Festival. Next I set up a SWOT analysis analyzing strenths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Festival. Finally I made several proposals how to make the Festival better, for example by increasing its location. My work can be continued by concentrating on particular regions participating in the Festival of wine and open sights in Uherske Hradiste.
