Abstract

Education can be signified as a key to employment which, among others, ensures higher living standards and quality of life. Education is closely associated with social and economical development, deeply wedded with labor market. Mutually balanced development among those factors contributes to the success of the whole society. The society should therefore empower the role of education as one of the core instruments of its competitiveness and an assurance of the economically, socially and culturally sustainable development. This bachelor´s work aims to approach the importance of education and the interconnectedness with the labor market needs, as well as to increase awareness about the educational system in the Czech Republic and about accessibility and quality of the education. The analysis of educational structure and its accordance with labor market needs in the Most Region is a part of the work.
