Abstract
This diploma thesis evaluates the effectiveness of investment incentives in the Czech Republic, with a focus on the Moravian-Silesian Region. The main objective is to assess the economic impacts of this instrument on regional development and its actual benefits for supported enterprises.
The research combines quantitative analysis of secondary macroeconomic data (unemployment, gross wages, research and development expenditures) with a primary questionnaire survey among incentive recipients in the region (29 respondents out of a total of 109 supported entities since 2012). Using descriptive statistics, Kendall’s correlation coefficient, and deadweight loss analysis, the study identifies administrative barriers within the system, examines realized investments, and proposes measures to increase the effectiveness of public support.
