Abstract

The concept of human capital nowadays is no longer an unknown term. Not only economic theory deals with its significance, but it can also be found in other scientific disciplines. The view of human capital does not necessarily mean only education or practice, but it also includes soft factors and personality. These aspects also affect the behaviour of the individual in everyday life as well as in the labour market. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess whether the participation of technical high school students in the temporary work experience can correlate with specific personality traits or soft factors and whether this knowledge could further serve HR and employers as a reliable signal of preferred personality characteristics. The data were taken from the questionnaire survey, the monitored soft personality factors were measured using the FPI test and the SCCAD test. Based on the results of the work, it is possible to confirm that participation in the temporary work experience may signal some of the aspects under review. A positive result is noticeable, for example, for signalling the level of extrovertion, self-reflection or dominance, from the category of soft skills for leadership skills and active approach to work. But also for signalling preferences related to the working environment, attitudes and other observed aspects.
