Abstract

This project is focused on methods of analysis and image processing of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and subsequently its use for detection of lesions of multiple sclerosis in corpus callosum and its volumetric measurement. The aim of this project is to design a method in programme called FOTOMNG, which will solve this issue with help of algorithms implemented in programming language JAVA and using the tools of FOTOMNG. The work was targeted at segmentation of images of MRI, especially on the filtration, active contours and volumetric calculations. Thanks to integration of segmentation instruments into the FOTOMNG system is possible to analyse the real objects of interest immediately which leads to facilitation of work of health care staff.
