Abstract
This bachelor's thesis presents the design and implementation of
a wireless tilt sensing module for long-term inclination monitoring
using IQRF technology. The introductory part analyses tilt measurement
methods, commercial inclinometers, and wireless IoT technologies.
The proposed hardware integrates the ADXL355Z accelerometer and
HMC5883L magnetometer, controlled by an IQRF TR-76D transceiver in
an 868 MHz mesh network; the printed circuit board also includes a
footprint for the optional LIS2DW12 accelerometer intended for motion
detection. The electronics are encapsulated in a 120 mm × 50 mm
enclosure with battery and optional solar power supply.
Firmware implemented as a Custom DPA Handler manages
I2C data acquisition and wireless transmission;
pitch, roll, and tilt-compensated azimuth are computed by a Python
script on the host system. Nordic PPK2 testing confirmed an average
current consumption of 1.12 mA at a 60 s measurement interval,
and the integrity of the measurement chain was verified by a measured
gravitational vector magnitude in the range of 0.999–1.034 g.
