Zlepšení kvality a snížení zmetkovitosti vybraného odlitků pomocí simulačního softwaru

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the riser system of a casting made from AlSi10Mg aluminum alloy cast into a bentonite-bonded sand mold. The optimization is carried out using the MAGMASOFT simulation software. The main objective of the optimization is the elimination of porosity and, at the same time, the improvement of liquid metal utilization. The theoretical part summarizes the properties of aluminum alloys, the methods of their casting into sand molds, and the most common defects of aluminum castings. The practical part is based on an existing model of the riser system, on which new variants of the riser system are designed and compared using the MAGMASOFT simulation software. The evaluation focuses mainly on the influence of the riser sleeve type and the use of chills on the solidification process and the formation of shrinkage and porosity.
