Abstract

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the design and implementation of a model to evaluate the performance of waiters in a restaurant. The first part describes basic terms related to employee evaluation, performance, competencies, and motivation. It also briefly presents multi-criteria evaluation methods and describes the AHP method. The second part analyses the current evaluation system in a selected restaurant, the current motivation and reward system, and identifies its strengths and weaknesses. The third part includes a proposal of a model for evaluating the performance of waiters, which uses the AHP method. Based on the evaluation using the AHP model, waiters are ranked from the most efficient to the least efficient.
