Dopravní model křižovatky Bedřicha Nikodéma - 17. listopadu v Ostravě

Abstract

The subject of the diploma thesis was to design a modification of the intersection Bedricha Nikodema – 17. listopadu in Ostrava (near Duha) with regard to the planned new tram line. The first part of the thesis was focused on the description of the intersection, where the existing condition and traffic signs of the intersection are described. The second part of this thesis includes results from the traffic survey, accident analysis, conflict analysis, capacity assessment of the existing condition and traffic forecasts for the outlook year. The next section described alternative designs for intersection modifications that focused on converting the intersection from a roundabout to a controlled intersection with a streetcar line running through it. In the last part of the work, simulation models were performed using PTV VISSIM software, including a static comparison of the existing state and the proposed variant.
