Abstract

The bachelor thesis is to analyze the impact of a major financial crisis, which began to show at the end of 2007 the foreign trade of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, having regard to their territorial and commodity structure. The first part deals with the causes and significance of foreign trade and outline the analysis of theories that deal with foreign trade. It defines, for the balance of payments, which will use the analytical part of my work. Analysis of the evolution of foreign trade through the balance of payments in the years 1993 - 2006, trying to assess the trend and development of foreign trade, which deals in its second part. It also describes the emergence of the separate currencies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the transitions from fixed to floating rates and the entry of Slovakia into the eurozone. The third chapter examines the evolution of foreign trade of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the large well of the financial crisis through their territorial and commodity structure and trends in the openness of their economies. Finally, I analyze in detail the development of a large balance of payments during the financial crisis, especially looking at where the current account trade balance.
