Abstract
The bachelor thesis describes and approaches the mechanical and electronic devices used to secure the vehicles. In the introduction of the thesis there is legal point of view related to the given issue and also nationwide statistics concerning stolen vehicles and their detection rates. The main part of this thesis is devoted to individual elements that are securing the vehicles. In the conclusion the issue is analysed using Ishikawa diagram and analysis of modes and consequences of failures (FMEA). After that a measure is suggested to increase the efficiency of the safety of a specific vehicle against theft.
