Dôsledky prijatia eura na Slovensku

Abstract

Bachelor thesis concerns about the consequences resulted from the adoption of the euro in Slovakia. It focuses mainly on the assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of its effect on the population of the Slovak Republic. The theoretical part deals with the history and development of Economic and Monetary Union in different periods, which follow the description of specific stages of its formation. The practical part describes the individual steps of the Slovak Republic to the adoption of euro, as the fulfillment of the convergence criteria or content of the Strategic Plan for euro adoption, National Plan of euro establishment in Slovakia and the importance of Communication Strategy of euro adoption. The second part contains a summary of the advantages and disadvantages which results from the introduction of the single currency in Slovakia and the economic consequences are specified. The special attention is paid to the assessment of the impact right over the population of the Slovak Republic by means of separately carried out questionnaire method.
