Abstract

The subject of my bachelor thesis is to become acquainted with the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and to evaluate this process. The thesis is composed of two parts. The methodology of Lean manufacturing and its methods and tools are described in the first part. The maintenance of the factory is explained as well. Furthermore, this part deals with classification of the particular systems of maintenance and defines TPM. The second part is focused on theoretical evaluation of the topic. It compares different types of maintenance, their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the whole TPM process, its advantages, drawbacks and potential for application are assessed.
