Analýza a zhodnocení činnosti a hospodaření Turistického informačního centra Rožnov pod Radhoštěm

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the running and financial management of the Tourist Information Centre in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate the activities and financial management of the Tourist Information Centre in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm between 2013 and 2017, and to find out whether the information centre generates revenue and thus contributes to the municipal budget or whether it rather draws on the budget. The thesis uses the method of literary research, synthesis, time series analysis and SWOT analysis. The theoretical part is focused on the aspects of the public administration, concerning tourism. The practical part analyzes the running and financial management of the Tourist Information Centre in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The economic analysis shows that the tourist information centre has a balance of over half a million CZK each year and must be subsidized by the municipality. Recommended solutions include offering a wider range of services, increasing prices, or reducing number of employees.
