Abstract

Diploma thesis is focused on questions of log house structural systems used for living and civic amenities, mainly on structural analysis, energy intensity and fire endurance. Main goal of this dissertation work is to project a mountain secondary residence situated in the area with major presence of snow and strong wind, including tourist accommodation and restaurant. Structural system of log house should come from traditional building conception of choosen locality with using of modern materials and technologies. As a result of my work is three-storey object with plan size of 10 x 15 m and total flooring of 272 m2. First floor structure is conceived as a log house, second and third floor are situated in purling roof attick.
