Abstract
This thesis deals with the influence of electric railways on subterranean constructions. The work is divided into several parts. In the first part of the thesis describes the basic concepts of energy
in transport, principle of the electrochemical corrosion, natural current field, influence of polarity
and mechanism of corrosion. The second part deals with ways of protecting subterranean constructions and measurement of corrosion protection. In the third parts describes the influence of stray currents on bridges and presents measurements on a bridge in Třinec. In the last part of the thesis includes evaluation of the measurement and design level of protective measures for the respective bridges.
