Abstract

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is The overall assessment of financial situation of a company. The whole work is composed of five chapters, the first of these is the introduction where we learn about the objectives of the thesis of assessing the financial health of company Agroland, Ltd. during the five-year period. The second chapter deals with the essence of financial analysis, the phases of financial analysis and especially the methods which are used to calculate it. The majority of the chapter is devoted to ratio analysis. The third chapter of bachelor thesis deals with prediction and diagnostic models, the calculations and subsequent assessment of financial soundness. Mentioned is the economic value added, which is an indicator of the overall performance of a company. The fourth chapter is a practical part of the thesis. Knowledge learned from previous chapters are applied to the company Agroland, Ltd., which is presented at the beginning of this section. The fifth and therefore the last chapter concludes the whole work. It contains an overall assessment of management over five years on the basis of the calculations.
