Abstract

This thesis describes the design and implementation of a visual and communications system for a robotic device. The work analyses the issue in detail. It begins with an analysis of the problems of distributed control systems and the communication in these systems. The thesis continues with possible solutions of the communication system and the appropriate choice of the final solution. The next section describes the design of an internal data bus communication protocol and also the design of a communications protocol to communicate with the visual application of the system. The next part of the thesis also deals with the implementation of the communications and visualization system. The conclusion is devoted to the verification of embedded solutions and comprehensive testing of system.
