Historie a současnost Starého Jičína

Abstract

This thesis is about progression of village and castle Stary Jicin. In the first part there is an shortly explanation of natural conditions in the district of Novy Jicin, which means orography, geology and geomorphology, water system, hydrology and climatic conditions. The second part is about history of starojicky castle and earldom from prehistory to the present. There are also included archeological findings on starojicky hill and in the surrounding and constructional progression of the castle. There is a list of owners of Stary Jicin castle behind this part. In the next part there is present of district of Starý Jičín, present status of the castle and other cultural sights, business, cultural life of inhabitants etc. In the last part there is a suggestion for route to go sightseeing with photos of individual localities.
