Ekonomika a politika Kypru v minulosti a současnosti

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the history and roots of the Cyprus conflict, economy and politics of Cyprus in the former times and after the entry of Cyprus into the European Union.

The bachelor thesis is divided into three basic chapters. In the first chapter is introduced the history of Cyprus, Greek and Turkish relations and the causes of their dispute about Cyprus. Chapter ends with the creation of Attila line that divided island into two parts. The second chapter is focused on changes in the economy and politics after the division of Cyprus and also on the way of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union. The last chapter describes the political system of the Republic of Cyprus, its economic situation, its representation in the institutions of the European Union. Chapter is closed view of the membership of their country in the Union.
