Abstract

The subject of this thesis is urban and architectural layout of the expansion of existing dormitory capacities with alternative methods of housing with regard to changing social, cultural, economic and social conditions. The work is divided into three phases. The first part is devoted to the analysis of the site resulting from the urban layout. Urban structure responds to the campus and is also a link between dissimilar structures along the street Opavská. Layout of urban structures is the thoughts of a concentration of activities, networking and don’t rip students from the city. Second - architectural section addresses the design of objects. The house is called the “urban type”. This means that services are in the pit, over the pit are offices and at the other floors there are housing. Balcony House is the emphasis on contact between people. The third phase of the work deals with the theoretical question of housing, references, forms, and trends.
