Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the non-conformity in forging production of the axles with the effort to reduce a scrap rate. It examines aspects leading to the causes of defects during the production of railway axles at GHH-Bonatrans a.s. The introduction of this thesis is brief description and history of the company. The thesis studies all operation which have a direct or indirect influence on product quality such as heating of input material in the stepping furnace, manipulation of material on conveyors and manipulators, descaling process, forging and heat treatment of railway axles.
