Abstract
The objective of this bachelor's thesis was to design a family house for a family of four and to propose a heating system using an air-to-water heat pump, including an alternative solution with a ground-source heat pump. The building is a two-story house without a basement. House is characterized by a combination of a flat roof over the first floor and a hip roof over the second floor. The thesis is divided into several sections. The first part is dedicated to the architectural and structural design. The layout of the first floor includes an entrance hall, a living room with a dining area and kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a toilet, two corridors, a study, a technical room, and an unheated garage. The second floor consists of two rooms, a corridor, a bathroom, and a toilet. The house is designed using the Porotherm system solution for all walls, ceilings, and lintels. The building will be supported by strip foundations. Furthermore, the thesis includes an alternative heat source solution in the form of a ground-source heat pump with a system of geothermal boreholes. The heating system itself is designed as a combination of underfloor heating on the first floor, while on the second floor, underfloor heating will be used in the bathroom and toilet, combined with radiators in the rooms and a floor convector in the corridor. The work also includes a theoretical analysis of the principles and history of heat pumps, a basic economic and operational evaluation of the proposed heat sources, a building energy performance certificate, an evaluation of the building's heat losses, and the thermal technical properties of the structures.
