Senzorický uzel využívající technologii LoraWAN v pásmu 2,4 GHz

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a communication chain using LoRaWAN technology in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. The introductory part provides an overview of wireless technologies for the Internet of Things with emphasis on LPWAN technologies and the specifics of operation in the 2.4 GHz band. A market survey of available communication modules and gateways is presented, on the basis of which the LilyGO T3 S3 development board with an ESP32-S3 microcontroller was selected for the end node and the MikroTik wAP LR2 for the gateway. A key part of the thesis is the implementation of a custom LoRaWAN stack for the 2.4 GHz band, as no publicly available Arduino library supporting the LoRaWAN protocol on the SX1280 transceiver existed at the time of development. The implementation includes LoRaWAN frame assembly, AES- 128 payload encryption, and message integrity code computation. The designed communication chain was integrated in The Things Stack Sandbox network. The functionality was verified by a successful measurement at a distance of 25 km.
