Softwarové licence a jejich využití pro autory softwaru

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o softwarových licencích a jejich využití pro autory softwaru. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké typy softwarových licencí se v současné době na trhu používají a které z nich jsou optimální či nejvýhodnější pro autory softwaru. V teoretické části této práce jsou popsány informace z oblasti software (jeho definice, dělení, historie a důvody vzniku), dále informace z autorskoprávní ochrany software, licencí a souvislostí mezi těmito pojmy. V praktické části jsou pak popsány jednotlivé typy softwarových licencí, pomocí SWOT analýzy jsou zjištěny jejich silné a slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby. Dále je zde navrhnut mechanismus rozhodování autora o výběru licence vhodné pro šíření jeho díla. Tento mechanismus je znázorněn pomocí zjednodušeného vývojového diagramu.

This Diploma thesis is about software licenses and their usage for software authors. Target of this work is to find out, which types of software licenses are nowadays common to use and which of them are optimal or the most advantageous for the software authors. In the theoretical part of this work there are information about software (its definition, classification, history and reasons for its development) and also information about copyright protection of the software, about licenses and context between all these things. In the practical part of this work there are described particular types of software licenses. With a use of SWOT analysis there are described strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of these licenses. Also there is a layout of the mechanism how the software author could decide about the suitable license for the spread of his/her work. This mechanism is described by the simplified flow diagram.
