Abstract

The content of this work is the design and testing of a system for human presence detection,built on a matrix based detector. It describes the selection of individual components, communication protocols of used interfaces and the creation of software for image data acquisition, communication with the camera, image data processing and integration within the smart building system. The result is a functional system containing a singleboard computer Raspberry Pi, a thermal camera Flir Lepton 2.0 and a communication module KNX BAOS. The system is able to detect the presence of a person in the room based on their heat trace.
