Abstract

Complicated design of the mine development results from the geological, technological and economical causes in the complex structure of the Karviná subbasin. Planning and design of the mine working require the widest possible knowledge of the stress fields and their distribution in the rock mass. The suitable instrument is the mathematical stress modeling in the rock mass. I tried designed the way of use it in the system of the rock burst protection in the conditions of sedimentary deposit in Karviná subbasin. In the exploited rock mass, there are many factors influenced the final stress distribution. It is necessary to worked on the assumption that the induced stress influenced native hydrostatic stress state either positive or negative. While in the mined out zone the stress state is substantially reduced, the stress magnitude in the surrounding area is much higher. The magnitude of the additional stress in the surrounding of the mined out area depend among other things on the size of the mined out seam area, the thickness of the seam, and on the geological properties of the rock mass. The change of the stress state basically influenced the rock mass behavior thus affected the mine workings realized there. Mine workings are influenced by the natural stresses, given by geological structure, fissures, ruptures and other discontinuities and by the stress induced by mining. While the magnitude of the induced stresses we could influenced to a certain extent (i.e. eligible time and space mine design), the natural stress fields are uninfluenced. Eligible mining developments can be the best measure against irregular stress distribution in the exploited mine area. In this way we can reduced undesirable stress state in the surrounding of the openings. The possibility of the use of the mathematical stress modelling for the design of exploitation in the field ČSM mine (exploitation of the Suchá beds and Sedlové beds). The mathematical stress modeling is focused on the best possible design take into the consideration the possibility of rock burst.
