Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis describes my individual professional practice in the company SDE Software Solutions, s.r.o. The goal of the practice is to design and implement a prototype mobile application for hiking. Application is meant to motivate users in achieving their peak performance using global and personal statistics. During my thesis, I focus on comparison of two database technologies (MongoDB and MySQL) while implementing the more suitable of the two and user authentication and verification. Furthermore, I provided a documentation to describe the result REST API implementation and used technologies description. Aside from technical side I also describe the company, impediments encountered during the development and their resolution as well.
