Dlouhodobé trendy znečišťování ovzduší v Ostravsko-Karvinské aglomeraci

Abstract

This diploma thesis is aimed at evaluation of air quality in Ostrava-Karviná agglomeration. Concentration of certain pollutants in this region exceeds average annual immission limits. Long term trend of effect of pollutants concentrations on pollution is asserted using basic statistic methods. Data from immission monitoring stations in Ostrava-Karviná agglomeration were used. The aim is to identify the source of pollution on the basis of analysis of relation between wind direction and pollutants concentration. It focuses on the effect of mobile sources of pollution on the concentration of PM10 and NOx pollutants. Atmosphere and its classification, along with information on pollutants (PM10, NOx) and their effect on health are described in the theoretical part. Factors that influence diffusion of pollutants are also part of this segment. The practical part consists of analysis of the data from immission monitoring stations. It is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the analysis of the long term trend of PM10 a NOx concentrations, followed by a chapter on analysis of relation between traffic intensity and PM10 and NOx concentrations. Furthermore, correlation analyses were used to determine whether there is a match between pollutants concentration and analysis of traffic intensities on roads. The third chapter dealt with a change of concentrations on wind diretion change.
