Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis examines the transformation of the perception of the human body and identity within the context of a digitalized contemporary society, where physical reality is increasingly replaced by its visual and virtual representations. The aim of the thesis is to connect philosophical reflections on simulation, identity, and memory with an authorial sculptural practice in the field of artistic metal casting. The theoretical part focuses on the analysis of selected philosophical and aesthetic approaches to the body, image, and simulated reality. The practical part documents the choice of technological processes, the production of models and moulds, and the realization of metal castings as a means of materializing digital phenomena. The outcome of the thesis is an artwork that reflects the tension between the body, image and interface through metal as medium.
