Abstract

The aim of this work is the selection of a supplier for a selected company based on multi-criteria decision-making methods. In the theoretical V teoretic–methodical part, the basic concepts of multi-criteria decision-making are defined, such as the decision-making process or his basic elements. An inseparable part of the theoretical part is the definition of selected methods of determining the weight of criteria and methods of multi-criteria evaluation of variants. Part of the methods is also the definition of their basic formulas. In the third part of the workis presented the company XY s.r.o. The practical part consists in the application of selected methods of multi-criteria decision-making. This chapter contains a summary of the results of the selected methods and suggested recommendations. According to the used methods, represents the best choice for the company supplier D1. Supplier D1 offers high-quality products at a low price and provides quantity discounts, which represents for the company XY s.r.o. advantage.
